Innovative Children's Clinic at Doctors' Hospital Wins IKEA Life Improvement Contest

Canton IKEA employee Renee Carrigan entered Euro-Peds (www.europeds.org) into IKEA’s Life Improvement Challenge contest. Renee enthusiastically presented the the Euro-Peds clinic as being the organization that deserved the $10,000 prize due to the unique therapy program that improved the lives of children who had cerebral palsy, including her son Gavin. IKEA asked that supporters vote for one of three organizations via text through January 31. When all the votes were tallied, Euro-Peds had won the Life Improvement Challenge contest!

DHM Becomes Destination Center for Recovery from Addiction
Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan (DHM) in Pontiac opened a new anesthesia assisted drug addiction treatment center on March 28th called Rapid Drug Detox Center (RDD).  The RDD Center is the only clinic in the U.S. offering the RDD Method™ of anesthesia detoxification.  The RDD Method™ is considered a safe and proven method of detoxification that lessens the discomfort and pain of withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting opiate drugs.
