Pontiac, MI - Allison Brauer, RN, BSN, MBA, was appointed as Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), of Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan (DHM) in Pontiac, effective November 2, 2012. The appointment was made by Yatinder Singhal, MD—Chairman of the Board, and DHM’s new President & CEO, Robert Barrow.

Pontiac, MI ~ Doctors' Hospital of Michigan’s (DHofM.com) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert H. Barrow to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Barrow will join DHofM effective October 29, 2012, and immediately focus on growth, productivity and patient care. "Doctors' Hospital is a cornerstone of North Oakland County and has a long tradition of excellent patient care. We plan to build on this strength and grow the hospital to be the premier independent hospital and patient care provider in Michigan," stated Mr. Barrow of his vision for the Pontiac-based hospital.

Canton IKEA employee Renee Carrigan entered Euro-Peds (www.europeds.org) into IKEA’s Life Improvement Challenge contest. Renee enthusiastically presented the the Euro-Peds clinic as being the organization that deserved the $10,000 prize due to the unique therapy program that improved the lives of children who had cerebral palsy, including her son Gavin. IKEA asked that supporters vote for one of three organizations via text through January 31. When all the votes were tallied, Euro-Peds had won the Life Improvement Challenge contest!

Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan has formed a joint venture with a specialty group experienced in pain management procedures, “The DHM Pain Relief Center (PRC)” is a multi-specialty practice that has a comprehensive pain management protocol, including a state-of-the-art procedure called PStim, or Peripheral Stimulator (see PStim Facts below).

After taking sole ownership of their hospital on February 8, 2011, Doctors' Hospital of Michigan appointed David M. Sessions, FACHE, as President & CEO, effective February 28.
